The Push-up APRT Event.
During the push-up event of the Army Physical Readiness Test, the scorer kneels or sits three feet from the Soldier’s left or right shoulder at a 45-
degree angle (refer to the illustrations below). The scorer’s head should be slightly higher or even with the Soldier’s shoulder when he is in the
front-leaning rest position. The scorer counts the correct number of repetitions out loud, repeats the last number of the correct repetitions when
incorrect repetitions are performed and verbally corrects push-up performance.
